Opera Australia announce Brisbane season
What a treat it was to again work with Opera Australia, this time announcing their 2012 Brisbane season. The Company will be taking two very special productions to sunny Queensland; my all-time favourite opera, Baz Lurhmann’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with the hilarious Conal Coad, and The Met’s The Magic Flute, with the spectacular puppets (see above polar... Vienna Philharmonic arrive in Sydney
The last couple of months I’ve been busy working with the Sydney Opera House crew on the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s concerts, October 2010. Such a great team of people to work with, especially Yarmila Alfonzetti (far right) who kept me sane following the zillion emails it took to secure interviews and photo-shoots. The result = roaring success for all involved. Image... Read More
7PM Project showcase AWO from Opera House stairs
It took some convincing, but I secured Ch 10 7PM Project crew to visit us at the Sydney Opera House tonight, for their Metro Whip around, promoting the first Australian World Orchestra performance. And they didn’t disappoint. BIG thanks for the two musicians who braved the elements (with their instruments!) for this segment. Read More
ABC’s 7:30 Report on Australian World Orchestra
Australian World Orchestra launch
Today we launched the Australian World Orchestra to the media. Held at Events NSW, Level 5, with its stunning view over the harbour, we were joined by key media, sponsors and patrons. We were also thrilled to have Mr George Souris, NSW Minister for the Arts, in attendance, and if his excitement is anything to go by, i know this project will a resounding success. Read More
Mod Dance Company take to the Sydney stage
It was with great excitement that Mod Dance Company opened in Sydney, with all the makings of a great show and season. I secured TV coverage, all the major metro papers and all reviews praised the show and dancers. For me it fulfilled a lifelong dream of working with Graeme Murphy, something I will always treasure. Should make for a great story. Read More
Ch 7′s Disney presenters get dancing
I’ve worked with Channel 7′s Saturday Disney team a few times now. They tell me there’s two or three publicists named Prue, but I am Prue No 1. I’m guessing that’s because I can always convince my clients to do crazy things on their shoots. This shoot was by far the funniest and most successful! I had two brilliant dancers from Mod Dance Company pretend... Read More
Carmen conqurs Opera in the Domain
Last Saturday Sydney was transformed into into a Spanish fiesta as one of the worlds most loved operas, Carmen, took to the stage for the 2011 Opera in the Domain. Imogen and I managed the pre-show activities, which included a dance competition, something I helped coordinate. I was also in charge of making sure our hosts, Ch 7 Home & Away actress Esther Anderson and ABC Radio... Read More
A sparkling way to see in the New Year
Last week I celebrated my first ‘official’ year as a company. It’s hard to believe as it’s flown by in the blink of eye, but it’s been a year of great experiences. I was blessed to work with a whole host of amazing clients, artists, media and PR bodies, and even moved into my new office in Crows Nest. Having seen just about every inch of the Opera House...
